I have a headache, am tired and achey all over, have dry and itchy eyes, a stuffy nose, a sore-ish throat, and a stuffy nose. I took an allergy pill like 3 hours ago, but it still hasn't affected me. So I don't think its that. Do you necessarily need to have a fever to miss school?

A fever isn't the only criterion for staying home from school. I am asthmatic and have many asthma attacks during which I stay home. If you feel that going to school will just make you feel worse and you won't be able to concentrate don't go. Instead have one of your parents call and either talk to an attendance person or leave a message where they tell parents to report absences. If you just have a stuffy nose and feel tired, you should go. I have missed school for minor illnesses and it isn't work all the hassle when you return.

no, the fever thing is if you have a temp of 100 or higher you are not allowed at school. Face it, many people are sick without a fever. I remember two years ago my youngest daughter was vomiting and direhea with a fever, my oldest daughter just vomiting and myself the same (what a wonderful household we were) I kept them both home for 3 days the worse part lasted about 24 hours but the body still needed time to recuperate so they were out wed-friday thursday and friday no fever kept food down but they felt ucky so I kept them home.

yes...u won't get excused for missing work unless your parents or a doctor write a note...don't try writing it yourself cause they will call and confirm with parents
