About a year ago my jaws starting cracking and popping. When I would move my jaw side to side or open my mouth and chew on food. It didn't hurt at first but then it started like almost "freezing" up. It would lock up on me but after a little moving it, it would go back. Well here lately my right side is permanantly stuck it won't budge so I can't open my mouth completely. My left side of my jaw pops in and out but the right side won't even move. It hurts and it's painful. When I try hard enough I can get my mouth open but the right side SNAPS and it hurts. My whole right side is constantly sore and I'm keeping a headache from it. I'm going to the dentist tomorrow but with my insurance if he can do anything about it I probably won't be able to get it done. He has given me a bite guard for my teeth once already for this but it never helped

you have TMJ, see a doctor... they may put you on a 2 wk liquid diet or wire your jaw shut for a while, if it's really bad they may break the jaw and insert pins then wire it shut until it heals, sorry if i'm freaking you out

Do you grit your teeth at night? Are you under a lot of stress or were you when you first noticed this condition?
