I have a very close friend since childhood who is a male. Unfortuately he isn't very good looking (he looks very rough). In his teens he had severe acne which left scars. Then older he added more scars by way of fighting. On top of this he is very hairy with alot of facial hair. He gets stopped by police freqently and asked what he is doing. He has been arrested several times for questioning as a suspect when he has not at all involved because he looks suspious. I've have seen people with kids, that do not know him, avoid the area or leave when he is close. I have also noticed people will be more rude to him and also lots of time he will be blown off. If there is any type of incident (fender bender etc..) he receives blame first. I have seen people refuse to wait on him because they "are scared". Since I have known him most of by life I really have observed that most of the treatment he reeives is do to looks. Also it has also keep him excelling in many different ways too.

It is sad that his looks have affected his life so much when it is totally out of his control. I will add that he is a warm, caring and decent man. I wish people could get beyond looks and really judge a person by his heart.

I have also heard comments numerous times on how "creepy he is" and why would I want to hang around "something" like that. It just breaks my heart.

that is so very sad............
i wish that people could get over themselves. people don't ever put themselves in someone elses shoes. either they r conceded or it makes them not feel as bad about themself to make fun of him.
i have a girlfriend who is extremely obese. real nice like ur friend. we went 2 her cousins wedding and these 2 guys were snickering and stuff while she was at the bar. i walked up saw the look on her face, put my arm around her and acted like she was my woman. they stopped.
next time it happens try the same thing. the person will feel like the ****** they r and ur friend will feel like a million bucks!!

It is a sad fact of life. He is lucky to have someone who understands him and understands what he goes through. People can be very cruel, and some deliberately so. But, I believe in what goes around, comes around. Feel free to feel bad for them for a split moment, for when they get their due. He will excell when the time is right, and you will be there when it happens. You are a very special friend. There should be more like you in this world.

i don't think looks matter that much i think what is on the inside is better like people at my school they say that your not popular because of what you don't have and don't look like also on how much money you have but i think you are popular if you have a lot of friends. like you know your friend is caring so tell him don't listen to them they are all mean and jerks that is what my mom tells me when i get judged by my looks and what i wear....

i've never thought that looks matter, It is what is on the inside. And if people can't like you for who you are on the outside then they are shallow.
