I've tried a myriad of freeware accelerators and most of them cause a security issue with my comp.security software.I was just wondering if there is a good and secure accelerator for us poor dial-up users or should I upgrade to broadband/cable etc.If anyone knows about a good free downloadable accelerator I would be in your debt!.Plus you get the 10 points!!!.P.s. Dial Up please!.

forgetaboutit. SLOW dial-up is SLOW dial-up. There is no quick fix.

If you are using dial-up at $20 per month, then why the heck have you not gotten the AT&T Yahoo DSL at $12.95 yet?

Web accelerators generally work by caching lots of data from the sites you visit. That means to only sites that will load fast are ones you've already been to. It is never really a replacement for broadband so I would suggest upgrading.
If you want to continue trying out web accelerators there are some at http://www.majorgeek.com

I hate to tell you this but those "accelerators' are just snake oil. Dial-up is what it is. You cannot make it go faster. You want faster you need either dsl or cable.
