im in the process of writing a song. kinda screamo. my influences r Silverstein, Atreyu, Senses Fail, ect. so if you guys have any tips it would be so much help. thanks

get more influence, practice, practice, practice and KNOW YOUR MUSIC THEORY...i don't know how musicians now-a-days go on and play instruments without knowing much about music.

Whatever you are writing, classical to rock, it needs a "hook," something that people will relate to, or really dig, whether its a simple, meaningful chorus, a catchy instrumental, or whatever... If you are catering to the crowds, and want to eventually write a hit, it'll need a hook. The rest of the song doesn't really matter... if people can get it stuck in their heads, it's a keeper.

Just get off the computer, take your feelings, put some chords, and emotion on to a piece of paper and there you go.

think about what really matters to you and put it into words! like really emotional, personal, and important details of your life and i guess u can scream it but, u don't have to, to make it a great song! hope that helped! can't wait to hear a hit single from ya, lol

1) Polictics Lyrics (Angry song/s, directing at someone you really hate such as....err Your President hehe?)
2) Love Lyrics (Mainly got to do with your history, your life...., whether its family, frriends, lovers)
oh try to make it rhyme as well, concentrate on your 'chorus' and your 'bridge' part
