I. "The government maintains an orderly society" ... this is the purview of the state and local community government. What we have is approaching the National/Global Stazi Central State Force bringing you invasive checkpoints, reeducation and interment camps, support for select-government drug dealings and of course the crushing of their competition , civilian fear based coercion, via bureaucracy and military style police deployment… we are the cattle and we are kept in "Their Order".
2. "The government built and maintains the national highway system". Hahaha… Yes and so did Adolph's National Socialists…. that was built to insure that the Nazi troops could be quickly moved to position in the nation to control and wage war. The trains that fed the millions into the concentration camps were said to be wonderfully on time as well. Lear from history or your will surly repeat it. A National highway system is not worth the price… return this function to the states.
3. "The Government's Armed Forces defend us from foreign attackers." Yes they do and General George Washington made clear that a large standing army might be necessary but he clearly explained it will be a great threat to the liberties of the people. I ( and he) would prefer an arm and train citizen American militia under the purview of the states with only select necessary components being in a national force format. Also, my friend… did you realize that Russian, Chinese and other foreign troops have been invited to and have trained in America to quell any challenge to the power of the Central Federal Government by American civilians? If you like your freedom or have an understanding of the constitutional and its limits placed on the government you have already be identified as a "terrorists"… and an enemy of the state. You may with to read comments on "FM 3-39.40 U.S. Army Internment and Resettlement Operations Manual"… at well over 300 pages it helps to read what has been gleaned from it by those who have taken time to read the whole thing. See more here
See you in the stalag… if you make it there.
4. " The Government can be changed every few years by a vote of the people if the people disagree with its policies."…. It is funny when you think we can change government. Do you really believe it is not a controlled system. We are provided a two party choice and an occasional third party to funnel off those with open-eyes. The puppets are changed as needed to keep up the appearance of "individual choice" , but only the outward trappings of "difference" is nurtured….their goals and actions are always the same. Observe all of the Change brought in by the last puppet….. more war, more Patriot Act like destruction of citizen rights. Hahaha.. Hell man… read the NDAA. Government has a 5% approval rating… do you actually thing there is going to be a mass turnover in congress. Sorry the days of real elections are gone…. The red and blue parties are a provided illusion.
5. The Government keeps production of food high by subsidizing farmers. Oh was you answer a joke??? Government and their crony banking power cohorts have driven the American small farm into the ground… no pun intended. This has reaped huge profits for the elite select few in giant corporate agribusiness. The desire of the people to merely know which agricultural products have been genetically modified has been denied. Did you know it appears the altered genetic material in corm that produces its own internal insecticide is being suspected in altering and destroying the beneficial gut flora! As stated in "Rose Quest Nutrition Centre" website… and many, many others. Government wants to completely control our food supply because that will be the great coercive control factor in a scientific tyranny. Balanced with each good thing the government does in the realm of food, there is a massive destruction of the health and well being of the individual farm. This would be better handled on a local basis… where you can force community standards and compliance in a just and fair way.
Government is a way to get good things done. But it is open for amazingly horrible abuse... our founding fathers knew this and wrote a constitution to rein in the runaway power and misuse of same. We are witnessing the destruction of this profound document. At this point in history we are on the verge of a dark period... a pretty looking version of 1984. Sad thing is you kids won't even know your being screwed.

Reasons to trust the government:
1. They spend billions of dollars and get nothing accomplished.
2. It takes them forever to get anything done. (If it ever will get done that is)
3. They will keep you safe by ignoring all the security leaks that are reported on TV.
4. They will make you feel safe by implementing security measures that do not really work.
5. When you give them more money to solve the problem, the problem will still be unsolved.

Our government grew to become into set up assuming that we'd desire to consistently no longer believe the government, subsequently the three seperate yet equivalent branchs. Represenatative democracy demands some style of believe, yet we would desire to consistently be attentive to the skill we provide to our elected reps. the justifications we've plenty deceit and corruption ( from the two facets) is that we as an entire get gentle and supply up paying interest. i'm uncertain what you have positioned as motives to believe, yet i for my section do no longer provide a hundred% believe to every person, even the folk I vote for. I stick to what they do, and carry them responsible. solid good fortune.

5 reasons the Government really isn't trying to kill us all
1) they can't overtax us if we're dead
2) they can't gouge our income if we're dead
3)They'd have to do their own laundry, fix their own cars, cut their own hair, cook their own food, mix their own margaritas
4)There'd be no one "working for the man"
5)None of them really want to go live on the moon.
