Ok I need help on this question,
"Write each decimal as a mixed fraction. Reduce all fractions."
the decimal is 0.04. Please show your work.

Ok. So we know it is:

4
----
100

Now find the multiples of 4 and 100.
4 = 2 * 2
100 = 2 * 2 * 5 * 5

Let's rewrite that:

2 * 2
-------------
2 * 2 * 5 * 5

The two's cancel, leaving us with:

1
------
5 * 5

or 1/25.

Easy.

".04" = 4/100 (which comes out to 1/25)

You basically count all decimals as parts of one hundred, so ".05" is 5/100, and '.99' is 99/100
