i am amazed that you can still ask a question without a properly working monitor

Simplest way to narrow down the problem is to borrow another monitor and plug that in. If the borrowed monitor works, then you can figure on the original one being no good. If the borrowed monitor doesn't work too, then it could be a couple of things...first, the driver for your video card is glitched. If that's the case, download and install a new driver file for your particular make of video card. If that doesn't work, then the card may very well be glitched. Hope this gives you a few things to start with.

Check the monitor plug that connects to the computer, the pins sometimes break overtime. Try another monitor see if works, if yes it is definitely the cable. If other monitors don't work either, it might be the video card.

replug the monitor cable. if not solved then remove and place the RAM in another slot.
