Area 51 conspiracy theory - fact or fiction?

Question

Some people a spacecraft crash landed and the craft and alien occupants are being housed in Area 51, do you think this is fact or fiction?

Well... obviously something very top secret goes on at Area 51, however, I highly doubt that they have alien space craft there. It's been almost 60 years now since the supposed UFO crash at Roswell, NM. Someone would've blabbed by now about what's in there if it were UFO's.

I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to find out that it's a testing facility for aircraft of something, however.

Insomnia976 mentioned Bob Lazar. His testimony is, well, suspect at best. He certainly hasn't substantiated any of his claims. If he had the news would be on the front page of every newspaper and magazine in the world, not just the supermarket checkout tabloids.

area 51 is absolutely real i even know where its located. i live in the same state that it is located u can say. and how i know that it is real is not just because i live here but other reasons. but its not for alien sightings. area 51 is strictly government military purposes spy stuff not for UFO's. even though in my answer to ur other questions where i talked about roswell new mexico supposebly alien ship crashing back in 1951 i have to say this. not long ago actually less than a month ago i did hear very strange noise coming from outside sounded like a helicopter but a helicopter doesnt stand still and doesnt fly soo close to the ground i felt like this certain noise was soo loud like it was over my house ( it was like at 2am)and then out of nowhere the noise disappeared into think air. this happend 8/17/06. a few days later some guy had a tape, he said it was a UFO it was round and had lights flying over a few buildings and then disappeared into thin air and i asked him when did he tape it and he said 8/17/06 at 3am. and where he taped it was a mile or two from my house.

Area 51 is an elaborate hoax. Nothing real about Area 51. The real truth is to be found at Area 52! They are holding a whole host of aliens from the Planet of Incredibly Beautiful Convenience Store Clerks at area 52!!!!

No. Area 51 (Groom Lake) is simply the US Military's "Skunkworks," the facility where they develop and test the newest advanced military prototype craft.

Roswell '47 was simply a Project Mogul high altitude balloon that crashed down to earth. It's a fact that is only disputed by so called "UFOlogists who would lose their only means of livelihood if they acknowledged the truth of it.

FACT! Area 51 does exist and there was a crash landing there that the US goverment did cover up. For more information on this, google or wiki Bob Lazar. Very interesting stuff!

Fiction for sure. People have a natural tendency to make up stories
about places they know little about or are restricted from.

51 is perfect, its in a desolate place, its very restricted and it is true the military has run secret test on experimental aircraft there.

Oh, I think it is very true. There were too many eye witnesses to for it not to be true. There stories are still coming out. People were made to recant their original statements, I believe, because of threats made on them.

More and more documents are being release, think it is called Operation Bluebook, but so much of that material is still blacked out.
