It is very normal that you haven't started your period!!! Don't worry about it, you will wish you didn't have it once it comes!!!! And if your bleeding, that means your bleeding. Talk to your mom or a doctor about it!

OK, I'm willing to bet any amount of money that ALL the girls in your grade have not started having their periods yet, unless there's maybe 2 other girls in your grade. Lots of girls lie about this, saying they've started when they haven't, I even had a friend in jr. high who would wear a pad to school for a week every month, and this was when we wore the thick, diaper variety pads. Every body is totally diffferent, some girls will start having their periods at 10, other girls won't until they're 16 years old. There's nothing you can do to make it start, it will when your body is ready for it to start. You can ask your mother how old she was when she started having her period, and that can give you an idea, but it's not ground in stone. Just relax and let yourself mature at your rate.

Hi honey, I have a 12year old daughter myself. Her period started last year. Some girls have their periods earlier or later than others. What you are going tru now is spotting(when you bleed a little and then it stops). Your body is preparing itself for your period. It will start like that little by little. Also when it starts it will not be regular. So always try to carry a kotex with you, if not toilet paper will do. For at least six months after your period start it will sometimes a lot of blood and sometimes just a little blood until your body gets used to it. So don't worry about it. You are fine. Some girls do not get their periods until 14 years old.

Sometimes the blood is brown at first, and if that's the case it is your period. Most girls dont start until they around 13. I know when I was that age some of us would lie and say we had started because we were afraid that everyone else had, so I bet a lot of the girls really haven't started. Don't worry it will come soon enough, and then you will wish that you didn't have one since it can be so annoying!!

Of course it's okay that you haven't started your period yet. And FYI, you aren't bleeding if it isn't blood. You should see a gynocologist if you have discharge of some kind, because you might have an infection. Everyone starts their periods at their own pace, and its nothing to worry about if you're a bit behind other girls. Your period is no picnic, and you shouldn't want to rush it. Ask your mom or an adult you trust to help you make a gynocologist appointment, because you really need to have yourself checked out if you have a problem down there.

Don't worry about it, some people like my mom don't get it until they're 18! I believe I first got my period at 13. However, if you say you are bleeding but it is not blood, what is it? If it is watery or white in color, that is a good sign that you'll begin to bleed very soon.

i didn't start until 8th grade and some are even later then that. not sure how you are bleeding and it not be blood. could you tell us what it looks like at least? color? if it's brown, it's old blood and nothing to be alarmed about.

Sounds like you are starting your period.

Is it brown or rusty colored? Or spotty? The first few periods aren't necessarily red blood - your body is just getting started.

uh when you bleed that generally means that it's blood, therefore you are bleeding and it is blood, unless it is vaginal discharge of course...that is nothing to worry about unless it smells foul and has a greenish, dark yellow, or brown color to it.
