i work at goodwill and was wondering if i said god bless to a customer as there leaving could i get fired

to me it wouldnt affend me at all but these days you cant say this or that without being worried you'll be sued or not what happen to the days when you use to say politeful things or helped one another there gone.....so no you cant say god bless just incase you hurt some-ones affence or there religion but god bless back to ya

Not everyone who walks into a goodwill is religious. Not everyone believes in god.
So I'm guessing if enough people complain YES it is possible for you to get fired.

That would be horrible if that were the case! What is America coming to? I hope that this great country that was founded on Judeo Christian principals and whose founding fathers were God fearing Christian men will not allow this to continue. I am upset that people have to be concerned about this these days!

You may get talked to about it. I know in past call centers I have worked at people were talked to about saying just Merry Christmas. Everything is so polically correct that managers get scared they will have complaints of people being offended

No, I do not think so. Saying god bless when someone sneezes or something is just being polite. I take no offense to that whatsoever.

Probably. My mom works at Wal-Mart and they were discouraged from saying "Merry Christmas" to customers. A couple of people got written up for saying it.

we live in USA and i hope you'd get fire for say thank you & god bless you pls come again it's better then saying just thankyou for coming to the goodwill pls come again. well those are my thought s i hope i help do wants in your heart...........

if you work at a christian book store probably not. I would think not at a charitable organization like goodwill but perhaps you should check.

Unfortunately in this day of political correctness Yes you can ,because it could offend someone.I hope and pray those people find God.
