No they never called me "stupid" directly but my year 6 teacher once compared me to this girl who sat next to me. She said that she will grow up to be rich and successful cause she's so smart and I'll grow up to be a bum on the street.
Today (8 years later) that girl is a slut and a high school drop out and I'm a 2nd year Electrical Engineering Student.

Unfortunately, I did have a teacher in the fifth grade call me stupid. I now realize where he was coming from. This was during the Vietnam War, and I asked why there were wars. Too bad for me, but I didn't realize that a person who was retired from the military might not see that as a valid question.

Don't trip on this if it happened to you. I have found that most people who make unfounded statements about others often suffer from what they are saying. If it did happen to you, and you are still that that class, tell your parents....now.

No, but I had a 5th grade teacher named Mrs.sexton who must have really hated me. It was the bicentennial year and the class was making colonial style candle holders for mother's day gifts. The first day we painted the whole thing flat black and put it aside to dry and later in the day I got into some kind of trouble. For the next two days she made me stand in the corner during craft time while the rest of the class applied antique finish to their projects. The next day mine was the only one on the table that was still flat black, as we left for home with our gifts she said,"I hope you're proud of yourself giving your mom that ugly thing". I can't believe that I still remember that!

Back in the day....it was fairly normal. So were spankings and assorted other humiliating practices. Didn't matter if the teacher called us stupid....got enough of that at home.

In high school I had the same teacher for Algebra 1 and Algebra 2 and I always thought she was a cool teacher because she'd actually stop teaching to talk to us about everyday, funny stuff that had happened to her or whatever. And we liked hearing these stories and getting out of classwork. But one day she started talking about this student in one of her other class periods, even called him out by name, and told us something stupid he had done or asked her in class. From that day on, she'd talk sh*t about the other students in her other class periods and it pissed me off because I knew she had to be talking about us to the other classes too. And one day she got mad because no one would volunteer to go to the board and work out a problem in front of everyone and so I raised my hand and when she called on me I said "Maybe no one wants to go up to the board because they're afraid if they get it wrong, you'll make fun of them to your other classes." Everyone got really quiet and she asked to see me after class. When the bell rang I told her straight up that she needed to stop talking bad about her students and she tried to tell me that she wasn't doing anything wrong. From that day forward, I despised her and I still think less of her for being a teacher and making fun of her students. That's just wrong.

yes. there was one biology teacher who enjoyed calling one of our names, then you have to stand up and answer his question.

if you do not know or gave the incorrect answer, he would say "stupid idiot stand on the table". its one of those big and huge tables for science experiments.

heard he continued doing it for years (cos my classmate's sister was also under him after we graduated) until one day someone fell down, or so i heard.

no, it doesnt bother me. guess its cos he does it to almost every student. if he had pinpointed me alone, i probably would freak out.
