They are minute and there are thousands of them stuck to the inside of the glass. I have scubed them off once but they came back. They don't seem to be bothering my fish. I don't see movement so I don't know if it is a parasite type thing or a fungus of somesort. I just want to know how to get rid of them.

They are called planaria and are there because you are over feeding your fish. Don't feed your fish until they all disappear (your fish will eat them instead of the food), and in future feed half the amount you are currently feeding.

It sounds like you might be describing planaria. Planaria are small freshwater organisms that are found all over the world and commonly make their way into home aquariums. They are non-parasitic and don’t pose any sort of a threat to your fish. They tend to creep up when there is an overabundance of nutrients due to overfeeding.

Increase the frequency of your water changes and decrease the amount of food you are feeding and you should quickly notice the planaria disappear without the use of chemicals that may cause unnecessary stress to your fish.

Most likely, you have worms in your tank. Although I can't say specifically what kind they are, they're PROBABLY harmless and related to earthworms (even though they're white). This is usually related to over-feeding your fish, and will go away if you don't provide too much food. Just keep an eye on your water quality (ammonia and nitrite should be 0, nitrate should be less than 20 ppm) and keep up with water changes (vacuum the gravel and change about 20% of your water every week or so).

If they are not moving then they are not parasites. You do know that it is probably algae and that is a sign of a healthy tank..You will just need to scrape it off every couple of weeks so you can see in there..In fact the fish stores have magnetic razors you can buy so you don't need to stick your hands in the tank. When you do scrape it your fish will probably eat it..good luck I hope that is what it is!!
