I loved Captain Kangaroo - watched him every morning growing up. I had a stuffed rabbit that I named Bunny Rabbit after the puppet on the show. Below are a couple web sites that I looked up after Bob Keeshen died. The first one has summarys of all the shows - not sure if it has what books he read, but check them both out - it will bring back a lot of good memories.

I used to love to watch The Captain.... Mr Moose and bunny rabbit, Mr, Green Jeans and Town Clown.... Oh and I loved the magic drawing board too.... it was the coolest kids show ever.
I don't know where you could get a list of the books, maybe you can get in touch with the show's producers (if they are still alive).

I remember Mr. Greenjeans, too.

Did he have a gag where he dumped a box of ping-pong balls on people?
