Same place you get other free music - illegal downloads. If you download, just type in the song you want, and "karaoke" or "instrumental" and there's often a version out there.
Stores like iTunes also sell karaoke versions of some songs.

The vast majority of karaoke song files are found in the file sharing channels of the IRC. For those who are computer savvy, setting up an IRC client and server, finding the right channels, and processing the songs, should not be that much of a problem. For all others, check out the link below.
