As of the last projection I saw (a few hrs ago) by wed it's supposed to hit central fl, you should be fine in Tampa you'll probably just experience the typical "mid-day" storm that'll last a bit longer.

According to the projections, Ernesto should only hit the east coast of FL. You should be okay in Tampa/St. Pete.
