Rusted throttle cable slow throttle return hard to push... or bad battery to body ground melted throttle cable. Battery is grounding with the throttle cable and the alternator is heating up the throttle cable voltage to run motor functions is low and the engine is just barely enough voltage because poor grounding to stay running at times and then it runs good? You can't figure why? Any battery work done lately? I have a problem? It took you a couple of weeks of uncontroled acceleration to talk to us "yamsters?"

try doing a tune up new plugs and wires i had a ford bronco that did this it was flooding part way out "getting to much gas" but when id let off or step lightly it would run good

sounds like its flooding when u step on it then burning off excess gas when u let off peddel must be bad timming or bad plug or bad wire any codes comming up? if so check ur codes itll point u in the right dirrection

try a new fuel and air filter, check the transmision fluid level, look at all ignition wires in the engine compartment and replace any that show bare wire, also check the fuel presure

you know, sounds silly is it useing alot of gas, gas mileage gotten worse? It just might be air filter or obstruction in air duct to it.
