The best way to stay awake is burn a candle that smells of cinnamon. It really works! People use it also to stay awake when they drive. :)

First you need to get a good nights sleep each night. Studies show that sleep deprivation is a problem for kids and teens.
Try working just a short time on each assignment. Then go back to the first one again. By alternating, maybe it will keep you more alert.
Try to determine your most alert after school time and do the homework then. It might be when you first get home, or before dinner. Don't put it on your low energy time, right before bedtime.
I also find something that keeps me awake is putting a lemon drop or some other hard candy in my mouth. Get up, walk around a bit and then get back to work.

Take a very very very cold shower. And if that doesn't work see if you can go to a local gas station and see if you can put some 5 hour energy drink to the test. I wouldn't suggest drinking it as a regular thing though, I'm sure it could have bad side effects, and procrastination is naughty! tsk tsk! lol, good luck though.

Study somewhere where you are NOT comfortable. I find when I'm comfy and try to study or get something accomplished I end up falling asleep.

Try exercising close to the time you do your homework, sometimes it helps me concentrate. If that doesn't work, try caffeine pills?

Have someone come in and kick ya once in a while if they find you asleep. You'll be anticipating the kick and will stay awake to prevent it :-). Little aversion therapy.

power-naps are good.....lay down and close your eyes for 11-19 minutes....you don't have to fall asleep...just do that. 10 minutes is too little, 20 minutes is too long. you'll be charged after that.
