That video is sad because I see those things every single day. I live minutes from those casinos and seconds from the debris. People came home to find thier houses down the street.
You're right...it's very very sad. It breaks my heart to see the FEMA trailers sitting amongst the emptiness. Families of 5 sleeping in one of those things, and I'm not sure if you've been in one...but it can barely hold 2.
However, as sad as it is...we are rebuilding. We are going to come back...much stronger than we were before! Don't feel sorry for us...be proud of us! :) We fell, but we didn't stay down...thanks to the aid of the other people in this country!!

I have been thru Hurricane Andrew in Homestead, and it took 10 years to re-build the town, and Katrina is by far much worse...I had to electricity for 4 month and no phone...no one had cell phones then...I slept on the job for 4 month...we had showers and A/C...I worked lots of overtime...repairing..I never wanna go thru it again..its really bad on the nerves, I had to postpone college for 6 month..

YES EVEN AFTER ONE YEAR AGO THEY HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO FIX ALL THE DAMAGE
