you should talk it over with your husband first & see what he thinks of the matter, just because they talk dosent mean they would be good in the same house all the time, its not easy living with a parent because they are YOUR parent they are use to telling you what to do, BUT you have your family now & YOUR use to telling your kids what to do, would your mam let you remain the boss in your house or will she still see herself as the parent over all of you,

Wow...that's a tough one. There are so many little things that would determine that. What are your mom's circumstances. Is there anywhere else for her to go? How does your husband get along with her. If she is older, how much care would she require? With the ages of your children in mind, would you be able to provide whatever care she needs? Would your house become "her house"? No one can possibly answer your question but you and your husband. It's not an easy one...good luck...

If she has the means to take care of herself then from my experience then say no. I tell you this after a divorce in which was due to the fact my mother moved in and well you can just imagine from there. But no if she can take care of herself the NO!! Take it from me she took over my house and my kids and I was just tossed to the side and everything Nana said was the way my kids thought it should go, so be careful! And i wish you the best.

I would say unless she is sick, or everyone wants her to move in, no. This is your household, your husband and your children and she may very well want to do things her way, cook food nobody wants, offer up unwanted advice etc. If she needs a temporary place to stay you could consider it but set a firm date of when she should be moved out. Its a bad place to be in.

It hurts me to tell you NO. Move her next door to you,but don't move her "in" with you, unless your Husband loves her as much as you do. You did not state why.If she is sick, that maybe a different story. But just to have her close,no. There will be to much stress put on your whole family. And hurt feelings all the way around.

If she is homeless, then you either have to pay her rent somewhere or let her live with you or one of the other of her children. If she has a home and is in good health then she has no right to move in with you.

If she is widowed, can't cook for herself, and can't go shopping on her own, and her own house is burned down, then you may consider having her stay with you or rotate having her with your other siblings.
Other than that, she should remain where she is all this while.

well is she forcing this on you or have you talked about this before the possibility that she would move in when she gets older and alone at home or something?

It all depends on the situation. Remember, she gave you a place to stay.
