.....should I resist the temptation of rating answers with either a thumbs up or thumbs down?
I notice loads of people seems to do it, as if they are a school teaher or something. Its really *****. What do you think?

I usually reserve the thumbs down for comments that are offensive (racially offensive, or hate related towards a certain group...i.e. lesbians, gays, bisexuals, etc.)

I'll only do the thumbs up for something really funny. Like on/off machines ;-) I don't give thumbs up merely because I agree with the content.

The only reason I use a "thumbs down" on answers to my question is , if its a moronic answer, or if someone types in caps, or a really long answer.

Because when you give a thumbs down it hides their answer.

To get to point 2 without answering questions you may desire to be earning factors extra desirable than dropping them(once you ask a query you lose 5 factors) So... go surfing very day and deplete your balloting shrink each and daily. that provides you with 21 factors per day. yet once you keep asking questions you will would desire to take off 5 factors for each questions you asked. Coming lower back to %. terrific solutions provides you with 3 factors lower back for each query so your internet loss would be 2 factors per query. In precis - to get to point 2, you may desire to earn extra factors than your internet misplaced. in any different case, you will by no ability get to point 2.

I think most people rate answers if they strongly agree or strongly disagree with a question that caught their eye. Rating is so over rated, don't you think. :)
