He was just a weird paedophile who watched one too many news reports of a little girl who was sexualised by all those stupid pageants she was in. I knew that from the start.

John Mark Karr is a sick individual but if he had nothing to do with the crime of killing JonBenet Ramsey then he should be let go from Boulder and sent back to California to face the charges he has there. I believe you made a mistake that family relives that tragedy everyday not just when a suspect comes into being

Nothing should happen to him. Not in the JonBenet Ramsey Case anyway. He didn't murder her, he wasn't even in the state at the time of the murder. And he never even admitted to killing her, "he just said he was there with her when it happened, and it was an accident." That doesn't necessarily mean he was physically there. He was a pedophile and was infatuated with the girl. He's obviously psychotic and probably just meant he was there with her spiritually, or something. He was sick, and just imagined being with her. And HE didn't put the family through anything. The police and investigators involved in the case who randomly decided to bring him into this whole thing after ten years put the family through this.

the poor bastard is obviously really suffering from some severe mental illness. a psychiatric hospitalization and some really good, hardcore, long-term therapy is what he is gonna need. your response is really kind of ignorant and lacks compassion for the depth of suffering for all the parties involved here. jon benet's family has suffered long over this (still not convinced the ramsey's weren't involved in this, frankly) but this man has a family too. imagine the humiliation and anguish they've gone through, and now he too will have to live the rest of his life with this, too. and hey, after all, many pedophiles are simply people who act out the scenarios they had perpetrated upon them as children ... that's not an excuse for their behavior, but it's an indicator that something went terribly wrong for that person early on in life. One look at the lost and empty eyes of Jon Mark Karr and you can see that pretty clearly.

What the family went through?? This only means that mommy and daddy are the prime suspects again.

As for Karr, he should be given psychological treatment.

As should the answerers who think up fantastically cruel punishments.

I think he should go to prison and get gang banged by the guys in there. And the whole Jon Benet thing I think he fessed up to it just so he can get his 15 minutes of fame. Which is a horrible way to do it.

My understanding is that he's going to be brought back to California to answer charges of posessing child pornography on his computer there. If found guilty, I sure hope they put him away for a long time, and NOT in solitary confinement either...his fellow prisoners will take care of things from there.

There's nothing anyone can do. The justice system proved him innocent by DNA test, so he's a free man, and we're all going to move on and forget this.
