Probably the first thing that causes the attraction is the physical appearance of the co-worker.
However, there may be other factors involved:
1) You like the way that person approaches his/her work
2) That person may have natural leading abilities that can attract many people (mostly followers)
3) You have nothing better to do than fantasize over a co-worker!
4) It could be that 'pheromone' thing! The bio rhythms that each person emits that attract the opposite sex
Any one of these could be the reason, but I would;d go with the physical attraction one.

I agree with thenuge426. People ask personal questions to get different opinions on the same situation. It also helps to use this site for personal situations because you do not know the person and most of the people who answer will not be annoyed unlike friends and family members, (unless it truly is a STUPID question).

Because sometimes we really don't know what causes us to be attracted - and this makes for a sounding board - is it really that he is gorgeous or that he has wit and humor, or just smiles at you - various ones who have similar experiences can then share their own and a person can maybe stumble across what they are truly seeing in their own life taking place.

Perhaps because they know so little about themselves that they hope someone can give them insight into their attraction...
...you're right though, a lot of questions here are things nobody can answer but the asker...or are so completely subjective that anyone else's opinion may not be what the asker thinks or feels...

I believe people who post questions like that really think someone finds their questions interesting. I certainly don't. And, with all the things most of us are dealing with, who gives a sh*t about that 'gorgeous guys you work with'? Makes no sense.

Because most of the questions are not valid (made up) and the asker just wants a response from SOMEONE. Boredom and adolescence produce strange behavior sometimes.
