I'm sorry to not answer your question but the fact that you have yet to see the doctor baffles me. I called my dr's office a while back to schedule a check up and they told me they were booked for the next 7 weeks, then I mentioned I wanted to have a blood pregnancy test done because my period was late and they said "Dr. Esker will see you at 3 pm today if you can make it." They can MAKE time for you.
This is what I would do if I were you, go in tomorrow right when they open (so the office isn't crammed with patients already) and demand that they see you today. Tell them you know how dangerous it is not to see a medical professional in the early stages of pregnancy and if the clinic doesn't want any legal trouble they had better "fit" you into their schedule. that's bull sh*t sweetie - you need to be seen even if everything seems to be going okay.

Every doctor will see a pregnant women at minimum 6 weeks pregnant. If this office is too busy try another.
In the mean time good job in taking care of maintaining
a proper food intake & vitamins. If you experience any bleeding don't hesitate to wait until your appoinment go to the hospital.I wish I can help more
but only until you see the doctor you'll know if everything
is going well. From personal experience,(depending on
your doctor) you will have a pap-smear test, a urine test and a sonogram to seee how far your pregnancy is. Also you will have your vital signs taken as well as your weight.
Your doctor will tell you how much weight to put on during your pregnancy depending on your weight before pregnancy. There ask any question you might have no matter how silly you tink it might sound.

Yes I admit this is a little strange that you cannot get into a doctor. Have you checked with all the OB doctors in your area for an appointment even in another town. Also you can go to the ER and they will check you there. Its very critical at this point of pregnancy you need to be checked, ASAP! 10 weeks is usually the time of your first appointment. Do anything to get an appointment even if you have to set at a doctors office and wait for them to work you in, tell them that you are 17 weeks and haven't had any prenatal check ups they usually will work you in because its very important for the baby and for you.

I'd find a new doctor today! I've never heard of a doctor who didn't want to get a pregnant patient in within the first two weeks. I mean, you're almost through your first trimester and they haven't checked your vital signs or blood or vitamins or anthing. There are a lot of other do's and dont's that you might be missing.... that's just crazy, and if there's something wrong with you or the baby waiting is just asking for trouble.
There's no way I would ever risk my health or my baby's health waiting for someone I was PAYING to bother to check on me - there are plenty of OBs out there!

17 weeks continues to be early on on your being pregnant. strikes are not usually felt till around 20 weeks. you will probable start to sense strikes in some weeks time. And its very wide-spread to no longer coach at this factor. while i grew to become into 17 weeks I had basically positioned on 3 kilos and that i had a very flat abdomen. some weeks later my tummy popped out and by using the top...i grew to become into the dimensions of a house! take exhilaration in it! The hardeness you each so often sense are probable braxton hicks.

How far along were you when you found out? It usually takes about 2 weeks to get in anywhere....did you tell them when you called how far along you were? If they still can't get you in...call someone else or go to the clinic and tell them your situation and ask them to give you a regular check-up and I'm sure they will have no problem doing that.

Sounds like you are doing a great job. You are probably reading good pregnancy books too, I hope? Ask the doctor's office to call you if they have a cancellation.
Congratulations!

Drink at least 64 ounces of water every day. Walk a lot. Stay away from soft serve ice cream and deli meats. (Both of them can cause lysteria.) Obviously, no smoking or drinking. :) Hrmm...I think those, combined with what you're doing, should be ok. :)
