why do some people answer with mean, disrespectful responses?

If someone on here is asking a question, they dont know the answer and would like to be treated with respect. Answering something with a mean response doesn't help. Some of these young girls are getting told basically that they are whores. How are you helping anything but to distrucked their self esteem? You should get off this if your just here to hurt people or be a jerk. Why?

I acually dont have any children and am a work in the medical field....

Some people are just jerks. They just think they really are that much better than everyone else. All you can do is hope the girls see the responsible, informative responses and can discern which to pay attention to.

Someone once did a statistical analysis and determined that 10% of any society are "the fringe", the dysfunctionals. As persons who participate in Yahoo!Answers are a subset of society, Yahoo!Answers will have its 10% of "fringe" also, that think they are cool, or better than others or just mentally mean/warped, to answer however they want to.

That is why Yahoo!Answers provides the abuse report. It is totally anonymous. Yahoo will stop someone who repeatedly or egregiously abuses the service. That works until they create a new persona and get back on, anyway.

Some people just wAke up on the wrong side of the bed. But sometimes, people are so weird on here, and people get tired of it, and answer angrily and in haste. But you are right, people call young girls sluts and whores because they're curious. I wish people who didn't have anything nice to say wouldn't say anything at all. :)

It's the old idea that a speaker (in this case an emailer) speaks, he/she says much about himself/herself and nothing about the person he/she seem to be talking about.
Let's answer questions honestly and forget anyone elses' negative comments. Most people who ask questions do so because they want to learn and for them at that time it is very relevant. I respect that.

Its a dose of reality . It is better for people to realize not everybody is going to help you from the safety of their computer . A mean, disrespectful question will usually garner a disrespectful response. If the question was asked in all honesty however, I don't see a reason why it would cause such a response.

Because maybe they're evil. They have nothing better to do with their time than to hurt innocent users. Maybe they're too small and weak to fight in person, so they do it through a computer. I have been cloned and so has my boyfriend Cyrus, along with everybody who helped us, by a very evil user who spewed his venom in his answers to these "voodoo doll clones" of us that he used to post sexually-explicit questions!

I think a lot of questions aren't real questions, but someone just wasting their time by asking stupid questions.
