is it silly to think that the army and navy and airforce and marine corps.and all the other branches of military power that exist would fall because some third world country developed an atomic weapon cause i think that is obserd and to use that as an excuse to support a government clearly intent on lieing to its public instead of just coming out with the trueth about why we're at war and so intent on re arranging the middle east (politically) .weres the honor in that this country at one time stood for something other than its ability to make war we used to be a nation of human rights the honorable country the open and trueth off a matter good or bad was it when we started getting current events explained to us by the media did we stop useing our own deductable reasoning skills and as freemen and women is it not our responcability to question those we put in office and if found to be fraudulent then is it not also our right to prosacute those responsable for the fruad while in office.

Honestly, arrogance can destroy anyone. Anything is possible and there might be a time when we won't be the most powerful country, (I hope this does not happen anytime soon), but like I said before, anything is possible.

It's not impossible for other Countries to want to try...If we continue to make enemies around the World, there is always a possibility that other Countries can unite against the USA.

Unfortunately, if that were to happen, there would be nothing to take control over. Once the attack begins, The USA will unleash all of it's might and send Nuclear Missiles to every Country that went against it and in turn, they would do the same to The USA.

In the end, there are no winners "BUT" Remember one thing:

The USA is not about to allow any Nation try and control it.

Any Nation who would even think of trying to control The USA, is a Nation who wants The World To End, as we know it today!

The USA is a Proud Nation and it would rather Nuke the World, than to let itself be taken by an enemy!

I've red de ansers psted heer an i akgree dat yus need to clik on the "abc Check Spelling" buten mo offen.

And tell your pinko school teachers that they better wise up because you intend on getting elected to your school board and fire their commie asses because of the crap they are filling your head with.

The absolute answer to your question is "yes, there could possible come the day when the government of the United States of America could cease to exist." But only if kids like you allow yourselves to be brain-scrambled by commie-teacher-crap or drugs or booze.

At some point after high school, you will recognize that what you were taught in school and what the real world is offering is miles apart. Those chest-thumping left wing teachers you may right now admire for their outspokenness will some day be seen by you as real a$$-wipes. And those chest-thumping Right wingers you mocked because of their patriotism - well, you might end up being classified as one by your punk kid while you are putting up your USA Flag for Memorial Day or for Independence Day.

Any teacher that publicly tells his class that the President of the United States (no matter which one) lead us into an "unjust war" obviously knows nothing about politics. The Pres usually doesn't make those decisions, its the CONGRESS.

I'm done.

Here's some glaring facts:

Last year, 94% of U.S. debt was bought by foreign nations.

The bigger players were China, Japan and Saudi Arabia.

As long as they keep buying up our debt like they do, eventually there will be nothing left to the country except some flags made in China to wave.

It's all become a big joke, and the people allowed it to get to this point.

What is going on today is undeclared war to keep the economy going, just like they did in Viet Nam.

Viet Nam veterans stand on street corners asking for handouts.

Nothing has been learned.

These in office today are not held accountable for anything.

They are nothing but big windbags on the public dole.

I see a mass of undereducated people (where it counts) being led by sheep to the slaughterhouse, little by little, day by day.

What you eluded to above seems like you feel very hopless and distraught over current events, and want to see a return to a peace loving nation again.

I'm with you, but the mass of people still fall for the crap, so it's business as usual.

More than half of my lifetime was spent in an America engaged in some endless and hopeless conflict, but I remember a better time in America, and wish it were that America again, but now with these morons running things (and I don't mean the politicians...I mean the C.E.O.'s), you can forget that shining example of a great country called America.

This won't be a popular answer and it will even seem absurd to many, but I do (really) believe that it's possible that the U.S. could one day - albeit far into the future and not in our lifetime - cease to be the leading/dominant power. I think back in history about how many of the previous great governments (Roman Empire,et al) and how they probably never dreamed there'd ever be a day when they weren't the greatest. I think a great country, like a great private corporation, needs smart (worldly smart/academic smart) leadership and careful guidance in order to stay at the top.

Bill Gates and other top CEOs didn't stay where they are by issuing clumsy decisions and failing to predict the marketplace for the next 20 years.

Even a whole and great country like this one, I believe, can weaken itself by poor decision making, lack of accurate foresight, and stubborn arrogance, to the possible result of being the next ex-Roman Empire, or if not completely, then precariously close to it.

And this doesn't specifically reference the current administration, because no matter what club the leader belongs to, the Democratic or republican or any other name, poor leadership can still steer us straight into the ground and under someone else's control.

But....not in this lifetime. I don't think.

There are more ways than one for a country to fall. Right now the leftists here are doing their best to bring the country down from within. The sad fact is there are lots of "useful idiots" (what the left calls those who help them) who are more than willing to do the job.

Unfortunately some of our greatest strengths are also our greatest weaknesses. I love being in a free and open country, but it's also in too many ways free and open for terrorists to take advantage of this. Just look what happened when the government did reasonable surveillance of communications and bank transactions involving KNOWN TERRORISTS, or in some cases high degree of certainty but not absolutely known terrorists - the left tried to shut them down! The left wants this country to be destroyed - they hate America and all it stands for. We have to hope to GOD they don't succeed because if they do the dark ages the world enters will be far worse than anything mankind has ever seen before.

An atomic weapon would destroy on a scale that can dwarf even the most successfull military campain. And war has always been used for political purposes but you can't just say that you have to use propaganda. Soo it's not like our support will change the world it's like that and it's always gonna be like that.

No, we've always made war...

Revolutionary War
Spanish-American War
Civil War
WWI
WWII
Korean War
Vietnam War
Iraq War

Peace and security have to be fought for. The reason that it seems to you now that America is so strong and powerful is because hundreds of thousands of American soldiers died in battles to keep the USA strong.

We do not need our military to defend our ground at home but for our intesest abroad. There are to many guns in this country for any foreign force or power to dare think taking us over plus we do have the military.
