Some nuts have an acid in them that helps insulin overproduce. When that happens some people get a low blood sugar reaction (hypoglycemia) which can result in headaches.
If nuts are all that are being eaten then that may be what is happening.

Alot of my patients obviously if they are not allergic seem to be less tolerant to the amount of salt (sodium) found in nuts. Alot of people do get salt headaches and don't even realize it is because of this. Salt is a bad thing especially if used constantly.

Headaches are an immunological reaction to the food. Some people can't immunologically tolerate some foods. Only treatment is to steer clear. My sister has the exact same prob you have.

Sounds like an alergic reaction.. I used to eat cashews and peanuts all the time... about 2 years ago I suddenly became allergic - can't eat either at all now with suffering from it a few hours later.

I read somewhere that if you have a headache you should eat 10-12 almonds...kinda like a home remedy.
