peer pressure at school, does it help just to poke fun at it or make it comical?

Humor is the great savoir of all of us no matter what the situation. If someone tells you to "do a line" and the pressure is great, just say, "Naw. Rehab was a bummer. Problem is, I'm snorting sugar now and I put on 5 pounds." Stuff like that. Also, especially with the drug thing (nobody thinks that is cool because it is a quick down the toilet life-busting thing), it is alright - and will make most in awe of you - if you say honestly and forthright, "Nope. Got too much to do to risk doing s hit like that. Do what you guys want but it's not my thing. See you all tomorrow. Dad's going to kick my a ss if I don't get this ******** homework done before he gets home." Then walk away. You will be so respected. Peer pressure works because they single out one person who is not strong enough to stand up and say, "Naw. Don't think so. Not in this lifetime. But thanks for the offer." After all, it IS your life and your future that we are talking about.

The best thing, but it only applies to those who have it, is a close loving relationship with your father. This is one of those great secrets deliberately hidden from you by modern feminism.

Men and women have more differences than anatomy, and ability to use a TV remote control. The problem is, today, a large number of men don't know how to be fathers, because their mommy decided she wanted to do her own thing.

If you do have a functional father, ask him to talk to you.

I can tell you I was a great father. Not because I had any natural talents, but because my daughter told me what I was supposed to be doing and I listened. Seriously. I had no one to teach me except her.

If your mom is stupid and selfish, and you don't have a dad then you are on your own. Sorry.
