There were studies made of the criminal minds. Many habitual criminals can never be rehabilitated. Once a pedophile will always be one. But one condition of their parole if they are pardoned is that they should not be allowed to work near minor children. A lot of criminals go to prisons, get out after serving their sentence and commit the same heinous crimes.
These are career criminals. It's good to forgive
as it's a divine act. But to forget and let them live among us and expect them to become productive members of society again, is taking it too far sometimes. It's just a question of time, before their criminal tendencies will take over again.

people don't change. There is no cure for sex offenders, thats why their names are publicly posted. As far as the church helping this guy out, I don't see why not as long as he doesn't have access to children. This guy won't be able to get many, many jobs because of what he has done. Cleaning a building at night couldn't hurt anyone.

I don't think that someone could change their desires. Ex: whether your aressted or not, you will still have the same feelings for whatever "gets you on"........but people can change by being able to a control their desires...........now whether in this case.........well.... he obviously did not have enough control earlier, so why would he have more now? Sure people can change, but it's really according to the person.

well... i'd like to hear his side first. You know how the news exaggerates stuff... shoot... 17 years ago, he could have been councilling a girl, and she didn't like what he said, and just told her parents that he molested her... you know? or he could be a child raping murderer who needs to be caned in public, castrated, and eaten by pit bulls... point is... find out everything before making a decision.

anyone can change their ways if they want to. Someone can stop molesting children, but pedophenilia is a problem that will always exist. It never goes away

to be honest, i agree with you.
however in the christian view "forgive us our tresspasses as we forgive those...yadda-yadda" he should be treated fairly.
If it was a Catholic church then it really doesn't matter at all.
