I originally wanted an offthe shoulder dress, but the only dress I was able to find was strapless. is there a way to alter this dress to cover my scars without making it look tacky and without a choking neckline. I just want to feel beautiful on my wedding day. This is a link to my dress. http://www.jasminebridal.com/html/web1/collection_1_photo2.asp?id=1129ul

I agree with Sammiie. But, I know how you feel. You realize that no one is going to even see it because your dress, hair, makeup and smile are going to be SO beautiful that day! You could try to cover it up slightly with concealer. You don't want to try and cover it completely because it will only make it more noticeable. If you use just enough concealer and powder, you should be able to draw less attention to it. And, stay away from glitter around the shoulders and neck. Wearing a beautiful necklace would work, as well. People will notice it and not the scar. Best of luck and congrats!!

Congratulations! & what a beautiful dress! The first thing I thought of was perhaps a cape but that was before I saw the dress. Some beautiful jewellery might be just the thing, as it won't change your dress at all & you could then pick it out yourself. It doesn't even have to be "real", as there are some very lovely costume pieces available. The better costume pieces will cost more but of course not as much as real gold & gem stones. Depending on your budget & time, you may even be able to find someone who could make something special just for you & encorporate any of your other wedding colors into the pieces. What ever you choose, I hope you have the best wedding day ever!

Get some toile or the same fabric as the dress and make a cover that looks like a little cape or stole. A seamstress will be able to do this for you. Ask her before you purchase the fabric.
Nothing come up on the www. link.

before you change your mind about the dress, try getting some makeup to cover it up. I suggest bare minerals or even finding out where you can get some flesh colored theatrical make up. Good luck.
