We have 4 local news networks and we hear all about their personal lives. One rather popular fellow passed away not too long ago and it was reported on all the stations. We have had news stories on a reporter who was almost stabbed to death, one whose infant daughter spent extensive time in NICU, one reporter's battle with breast cancer, one guy's apartment burning down, reporters getting married, etc. I thought maybe it was that way everywhere.
