Because they are not uneducated.

Although, some educated people also twist their facts to suit their own needs.

It is also the persons own belief, or lack thereof that causes them to judge before knowing the facts.

The Bible does not support racial prejudice of any type. God created the whole human race and His love extends to the whole human race—and so should ours. The Bible says, "From one man he made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth" (Acts 17:26).

Furthermore, the Bible teaches that Jesus Christ died on the cross for people of every race, and when we know Christ, we are one in Him. The Bible says, "There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus" (Galatians 3:28). And some day in heaven we will be together, for by His blood Christ "purchased men for God from every tribe and language and people and nation" (Revelation 5:9).

Racism is a sin, and because we live in a sinful world, racism will always be a potential danger.
But that must never be an excuse for racism, or for failing to do what we can to overcome it. Murder is a sin—but God doesn't want us to shrug our shoulders and not stop people from killing each other. In the same way, racism is a sin, and God doesn't want us to ignore it or refuse to do whatever we can to combat it.
What is the real problem behind racism? What makes people of one race (or tribe or language) hate those who are different from them? The real problem is within us—within our own hearts and minds—and only when our hearts are changed will we learn to love and accept others as we should. Jesus said, "For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander" (Matthew 15:19).
That is why our greatest need is to turn to Christ and allow Him to come into our lives and change us from within. He can take away our pride and our hatred of others, and replace them with His humility and love. Have you trusted Christ as your Savior?

Well, last time I looked we were!

My feeling is that only those who feel inferior seem to feel the need to exert control over others. I believe some people seek to control those they feel are a threat to them in some way. All the while, forgetting that God made us all. I find that incredibly sad.

pride makes us think we are superior to others. We take pride in the fact that our people are smater-cleaner-more sophisticated-more advanced in society all these things contribute to thinking of others as inferior.
