Wow. I have asked myself that for a long time. It seems as though people will do anything - anything - not too be alone. Except if you are a hermit! LOL
I think we all have an inner, instintive need to belong, be needed and be somewhat dependant on others. Not completely, but its there. I believe some people feel better knowing others like us or love us and want to be around us. Its very common and it does effect all age groups - young people more, since the wanting to be accepted is much stronger. This is also a self-esteem issue. Instead of being happy with ourselves, we seek out others to make us happy or show we are worth something instead of doing that ourselves. Thus one of the reasons for so many crappy relationships.
Besides. There is comfort knowing there are other people out there who share similar interests and ideas. Its a comfort, and also a strength when there are more than one to a common cause. Some people believe they absolutely cannot be "on their own" and can't cope with not having someone there to do things for them or handle situations. Well you can!
Be happy with yourself. Like yourself and enjoy who you are. Others will come as time goes.

Did you mean --afraid of being alone? I think it's the idea of being alone without social support, connection, or belonging that scares most of us. Lonely is feeling alone. I can be alone and not be lonely or be lonely and be surrounded with others or alone...

Because God never intended Man to be alone. When Adam sinned against God he placed us in a position of separation from God and at that time God was with us. So When Adam made his choice he put a curse of aloneness upon the whole Human Race.
(2Cr 6:17) Wherefore come out from among them, (being the World) and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean [thing];( by doing or eating or thinking) and I will receive you,
(Luk 6:22) Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you [from their company], and shall reproach [you], and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake. (Jesus' name)

I bear in ideas dealing with that perfect comparable conflict whilst i became youthful. human beings pick what they might't have, thats why they circulate once you once you're with somebody. once you're no longer with every physique, it form of feels they might care much less. it gets extra useful. i'm assuming you're nonetheless in extreme college? each and every thing adjustments after extreme college. human beings will start to understand thier boundries and get thier timing down. I continuously discover that it facilitates love discover it somewhat is thank you to you in case you are going to be able to desire to care much less approximately stupid video games and not challenge approximately finding every physique. you're youthful - savour your freedom.

they want company, think for yourself
they need someone to talk to, someone beside them
if they are by themselves, they will be sad cause there is no one in their life to share interests or even care
