I think it was Azrael....or something like that. So glad my real name isn't up here....don't tell anyone I know this. :)

Azrael : Gargamel has a long-suffering sidekick named Azrael (not "Azreal" or "Azrial"). Azrael is a tough, mangy cat who compounds the Smurfs' problems when they're being chased by Gargamel.

It was called Azrael, and it's the name of the angel of death by the way!
In the Arabic version of the Smurfs, it was called "Harhoor" which was a funny and not so intimidating name. But Azrael is a good name for a sorcerer's cat anyway :) .
