My ovulation was on August 12th, and my next period was expected on the 26th. I missed my period so I took the test, I did it with First response (ultrasensitive) and clear blue. Both of them negative. Could I still be pregnant?

These tests are pretty accurate but, yes, you could still be pregnant.

A pregnancy test looks for a particular substance that your body produces when you become pregnant. Since your period is only a couple of days late, the substance will only be present in trace amounts. So, wait a few more days and then try another test. If it comes back negative, then you're probably not pregnant.

Still, if you tend to be really regular, you may want to visit a doctor or a free clinic. (Planned Parenthood is one place to start if money is an issue.) If you skip a second period, you MUST go to a doctor.

Good luck.

most test require you to be at least one week late on your period. So their is a chance you could be I would take another test in a week or so just to be sure. If your still worried go to your gyno and take a blood test those are way more accurate and it will tell you exactly how far along you are if you are pregnant.

Yes, you could. Don't rule it out until the test is done by a doctor. You may have done it too early for the pregnancy test to tell.

Its still possible, you may just not have enough pregnancy hormone for a home preg. test to tell. The best bet is to get a blood test done by your doc.

Wait about 5 more days and retest. Get the double pack test, so you can recheck your results. Sometimes, nature is just late.

what leads you to believe you might be? did you do something out of the ordinary? (switched pills, condom broke) if not, then you're like a lot of women and flipping out.
