I've been through numerous chargers and they all end up the same way, you have to wiggle the wire and crap just to get it to work. I just bought a new one about a month ago and now it's doing the same thing and I've been extra careful handling it. Is there a way to fix it or an alternate charging method that doesn't cost too much?

I've got two Motorola V60i's, and I can't stand the silly connectors. In 4 yrs I've ruined four auto chargers, one auto speakerphone unit, and one desktop charger. Sometimes I can lean the phone a certain way to get a good contact, then it changes a week later, until eventually one of the plastic pins breaks off. I returned a couple of the auto chargers to the manufacturer twice for that reason. Then I bought a cheapie, figuring, even if I break it, it's not worth utilizing the lifetime guarantee. And that one has lasted over a year and it's about to break.

I've had it. I'm getting new phones, and I'm making sure: no funky connectors!

Yes, that seems to be the problem that I keep having when I use the charger at home and put my phone on for the night. I wake up and see that its not charged at all or usually its only charged part way and usually end up dieing a couple hours later. If your getting a problem like this it may be your phone battery but most likely the charger. However I've found that a charger that charges within the car (hooks up to the lighter) works better for me and keeps my phone charged longer. I would look into getting one of these I think I payed 10 bucks for mine at the cell phone place I got my phone from. If you keep having this problem I would defiantly contact your local cell phone place and ask them whats up with the chargers on your phone. Usually if you go in there person to person you won't get the run around. I found that most cell phone company's like to give you the run around on the phone and if they see your face their not likely to give you some BS crap.

The problem is that the connections get dirty which prevent a good contact. Also, it is caused from pushing it in the phone with out pressing the relaese button on the charger. sooner or later, the plastic clip will wear out.
