Why is it that in this day and age, we’re still threatened by intelligent, powerful women? Do we still have to be fed gender equality sandwiches down our throats?

Men are very insecure about their masculinity. If a women challenges this they feel threatened. To be macho they have to have something to be macho over. If they can't be macho over a man. They marry a very submissive women, beat her up when they are threaten by other men. To make them feel like a man.
Usually it is a very repressive society where men are made to feel put down or belittled and to have something or someone they dominate such as a women makes them feel like more of a man. It is the power struggle all humans have.
That dominant gene. physiology class tells us that a man that is truly comfortable with his self doesn't need this extra bolstering. It is only necessary for a little twirp who can't get it on.

I personally do not like stupid women... so for "we’re still threatened by intelligent, powerful women" I'm not threatened at all and in fact date a girl that works in a Gov. dept.

Women are less and less dependent on men as time progresses. Men are more and more threatened by their loss of power. They aren't useful to women and choose to label them negatively in order to make themselves feel better.

Not threatened at all. I accept women superiors equally to male superiors. Why other people struggle with it is beyond my comprehension.
