My sediments exactly
While you never know until your in the situtaion (god willing I never will be), I'm pretty sure I would kill someone if they hurt my children like that. So I spend a couple of years in jail.. at least thats one less preditor off the streets. Sad, when you think about how much our society has changed even in the last couple years. When I was young, I used to walk all over the city I lived in without a worry.. now, my nine year old daughter cant play outside unless I can see her (and the town I live in is pretty safe). Last year I got a letter from the school district informing parents that a teacher at a nearby school was arrested for indecent acts with a child (this was an elementary school). So the scare isnt even on the streets its in the class room or within families. The illness they have will never just go away.. they will always be a danger to our children. They should be locked away for life or put in front a firing squad (I perfer the latter)!! Drug pushers are selling to willing customers.. child molestors are hurting the inicent and leaving them to suffer the rest of their lives.

another thought is why do we go after marijuana so fiercely as opposed to other drugs. bc its unsafe. ever hear of alcohol and tobacco. booze and cigarettes kills more people every year than other drugs combined. also we have a huge problem with prison overcrowding well if we didn't put addicts in jail maybe that wouldn't be a problem. addiction is viewed by the medical society as a disease not a crime. while some illegal drugs are very dangerous and ruin lives there is at least one that doesn't do anymore damage than our legal ones. I would love to see the rate at which people busted for being an addict come out of prison and are off of drugs. Id bet it would be pretty low. users of the relatively safe illegal drug(relative to alcohol) get the worst end of the deal bc there isn't any evidence that it is worse than our legal drugs(alcohol and tobacco). It is a kind of witch hunt don't you think. so the most dangerous drug (alcohol) is legal, why? yes in and of itself does very little damage if used in moderation but and a vehicle to that and it is deadly. ppl usually respond to this with that's why that action is illegal. the problem with that is by the time the person is caught in the act lives have already been lost. plus it is the one crime you can commit with out knowing that you are committing. there is a legal limit and you have no readily available way of knowing if you are over it or not. I would argue that if you are near the legal limit you would be more likely to drive bc your confidence level is elevated. and if drinking and driving is so dangerous, and it is, why have a legal limit? why not just have a zero tolerance? it only makes sense compared to the way we treat other drugs. Dont even get me started on the dangers of smoking, but we are allowed to smoke. it is a massive drain on our health care system so why not ban it? TAXES ppl TAXES. I smoke, i have been trying to quit for about a year now. different programs with varying levels of success. but we compare my behavior to that of any other drug and i would be in jail. Dont take me as a hypocrite bc i smoke, that isnt what i said. We are allowed to smoke and bc it is legal if you want to you can. i would urge you not to start bc it is so hard to quit. I used smoking to point out the flaws in our logic when it comes to drugs. Also why aren't there more funded programs to help ppl stop smoking, bc it is too big of a resource to give up.

I agree with you! I think that child molesters should get life in prison...or the death penalty. It's just wrong. When you're doing/selling drugs, it's only hurting you. But when you're molesting a child....that's hurting the child and his or her family. There was an 18 - 19 year old guy at my school who was a registered sex offender and the school knew about it but they let him graduate. BUT there was a kid selling pills to some people and he got kicked out! It's just wrong.

Americans haved complained about this along time. There is a man in Indiana that grew a little smoke for himself and he got life in prison. he was not a violent criminal, this is all backwards. These violent people go to jail and get back out again to do worse. our government is *** backwards. However, getting people off hard drugs which has lead to violent crimes and drug wars on the streets and innocent people getting caught up in the crossfire is a huge problem and still growing.

Good question. When I was growing up, parents didn't have to also be security guards to keep their children safe.
I agree with you - if I ever met anyone who abuses children, and I learn about it, that person is going to have hell to pay!

I gave a oath in a group of men that if i commit a crime of type against my fellow humans they could cast my body to the wind never to be found. why we don't get these animals and cast them to the sea floor beats me.
