They're too harsh. If you need something, take some Milk of Magnesia, that's what my OB told me to take.

Read the labels and talk to a pharmasist.... but from first hand...i am 6 months pregnant, and i have been constipated most of the pregnancy...very miserable stuff.....BUT lately i have been increasing my intake of water, and making sure i have A LOT of it, and i havent taken a laxative in 3 weeks!!!!
The labels will tell you if they are good for pregnancy or not!

certian laxitives can cause premature contrations and also affect your baby remember every thing u take in your baby gets also. try a fiber based laxitive like muscinex . there are a variety of fiber based laxitives to help keep u regular and they are good for u and your baby.

It may be that the stimulants in laxatives not only stimulate your intestines but may also stimulate your uterus.
