NOT TOO MUCH!!! Umm, I'd say 2-4 times a week, 20%-30% of the water. Keep it in a tank, not a bowl, of course. I would also siphon out some of the excrement (poop) once a week. If you don't already have a siphon, get one now. It will be great help. Plus they are cheap and easy to use. Also use chlorine/chlorimine/nitrate/nitrite balancing tablets when you change the water. Just crumble a bit off (not all/too much) of the tablet with each water change. When you siphon the excrement out, water will also come with it so when you do that, do a water change also, with the water and excrement taken out a bit of water added in. Hope your goldie does well. :-)

Oh, and NEVER I say NEVER change all the water at once or change it every day. Or every other day. That's just old sausage that people say to kill your goldfish. And that would be way too much stress for the poor thing.

It depends on how big your tank is and how many fish you have in your tank. If your goldfish tank is small (10gal) and you have more than 2 goldfish then you need to water change (20%) regularly otherwise once in a week will do.

at least every 3 days and only about 35% of the water. make sure that the new water is close to the same temp. as the water remaining in the bowl. also you might want to invest in a water conditioner which cleanses the tap water for the fish. you can get some at any pet shop.

Before you add water into the bowl, you should age the water for at least 24 hours. So the chemical will be gone. I recommand you change your goldfish water at least twice a week because goldfish eat and poop a lot.
