Anytime you have unprotected sex theres a possibility that youre pregnant. As far as just coming off the pill, my sister-in-law was off the pill like a week when she got pregnant with her current child. It could be hormones from the pregnancy but it could be that you're pregnant as well. Once you've totally missed your period, take a test..or even try one now although it's possible to get a false negative if you test too early. I tested 8 days before my expected period with my current pregnancy and got a positive using First Response so it's possible to detect pregnancy early. If you are you should know that you do have choices. I was 17 when I got pregnant and I won't lie it was tough but my son will be four next week and I went to college, graduated, got married and well survied the whole experiance. There is nothing like parenthood but your life will change 100%. If you're not pregnant you should at least use a condom, which I'm sure you know and you will hear tons of, but if you are you need to decide what's best for you and take that route. Best of luck!

Going off the pill can mess with your cycles, so it's not necessarily accurate to say you're x days late. You could have had an anovulatory cycle (one in which you do not ovulate) and if that's the case, you won't have a normal period; eventually you will bleed when the uterine lining can no longer support itself. Of course, it's possible to ovulate in the first cycle off the pill, so you could be "late" because you're pregnant. There's just no way to know without taking a pregnancy test. I would suggest that you do that sooner rather than later AND that you do not have unprotected sex again. You may feel like you're willing to accept the consequences, but having a baby will change your entire life. You have school to finish and college to go to before you accept that particular consequence! There are birth control options out there for you even if you can't use hormonal birth control. Contact Planned Parenthood to learn all your options.

Most women ovulate about 12 days after the last day of their last period, but since you were on birth control, your hormone balance may have changed your exact ovulation. Semen (and yes you would have had some inside your body because the withdrawl method is ridiculously stupid) can live inside a woman's body for up to 72 hours. The only way you will know for certain if you are pregnant is to take a pregnancy test available at any drug or grocery store, or to contact a doctor. Good luck...

Okay step one: DO NOT PANIC!
I've never taken birth control pills but I've had my share of prenancy scares. If you panic, its only going to cause you stress, and stress is ONLY going to further delay your period okay?
Periods, even the most reliable ones vary. Wait at least 7 days, your hormones are trying to balance themselves. If you just relax, I'm sure you'll jump back on schedule soon.
After the week of wait, if you haven't menstrated, find a discreet place to take a test. I'm not calling you irresponsible or stupid. I know how it is to be really into what you're doing and not necessarily thinking about the consequences.
If you do find out you are pregnant, talk to your b/f. See what he wants to do, but make sure that he cares enough about you to respect what you want to do. As to what happens to the baby, that should be a mutual descision.
I wish you all the luck in the world! If you have any other questions, or just wanna tell me how it goes, e-mail me!
I hope this helps!
God Bless!

You might be but it is unlikely. There is a certain amount of hangover with the pill that protects you for a month or so after you stop taking it as your hormones readjust. Wait a week or so and then buy a test. If you are not pregnant please remember how scared you are now when you next think about having unprotected sex.

You ovulate like from the 10th to 15th day after you start your period. So depending on how long your period lasted you may have gotten pregnant on the 5th. That would be approx. the right number of days. Also being off the birth control could cause your period to be off. I would just wait a week or so and if it stilld oesn't come take a test.

Take a test
See a doctor
When you stop taking the pill you are SUPPOSE to stop having sex or use other form of birth control to prevent pregnancy and STDs and AIDS.
Sex is for grown folks and if you are going to do grown folk things then you need to be responsible like one otherwise STOP HAVING SEX till you are old enough to do it right.

You can go to your local planned parenthood and get a blood test. they will give you free to low cost health care and will not notify your parents A home pregnancy test may not be conclusive because its really early. You also should always use protection. I hope your not pregnant and this is a lesson I hope you pay attention to honey. You seem like you have a good head on your shoulders. like 70 percent of Americans have HPV. If you get this you could get warts, or worse cervical cancer....even if you are on birth control use protection.

The only thing that will put your mind at ease (that is if you are not pregnant) is to go and buy a test and find out! If you are not then you can move on and if you are you can begin to deal with your situation and get into a doctors straight away!
I hope for both of you that you are not pregnant! Good luck!

it is quite possible. although it can take months for your hormones to regulate after coming off the pill.
Your best bet it to never do that again, and go down to the local clinic or doctors office and request blood work, even if the pee test is negative, then you will know for sure.
You dont need a parent with you for that.
