There is a FANTASTIC Fantasy writer called
J V Jones. The final book in her latest trilogy "Sword of Shadows" should be coming out soon (I hope).
I am also waiting for the great George MacDonald Fraser to release the next book in his FLASHMAN saga. In previous books he has hinted at the characters exploits and I am waiting to see how Flashman takes part in the American Civil War and gets bravery awards FROM BOTH SIDES FOR THE SAME BATTLE !!!!!!
Bernard Cornwell is another favourite and the next Sharpe book should be out in paperback soon.
I also follow the Fighting Fantasy Books and a brand new one, the first for a number of years, is coming out in early Sept.
David Eddings is another great author with a new paperback coming out soon.......
...............and of course Dean Koontz, thankfully he produces GREAT books on a regular basis.

A Dance With Dragons by George RR Martin (Book 5 of of A Song of Ice and Fire, really the second half of Book 4, which had to be splitdown the middle...hopefully this one won't take 5 years to write, especially cosidering most of it is already written :)
A Memory of Light by Robert Jordan (The final Wheel of Time book. I don't love the series anymore, it kind of went downhill after Book 5 or so, but I've come this far...I really want to know how it ends, as well as how Jordan somehow manages to tie up all the loose ends...A much bigger task than Rowling has with HP, trust me!)

I agree with most in that I can't wait for the new Eragon bk., Harry Potter bk. , and Wheel of Time bk. to come out.One that hasn't been mentioned by anyone else is the Cornelia Funke bk. Ink...something ,I don't know the name but i'm looking forward to it's release also.
