I dont think there is much you can do. Let him live and enjoy the rest of his life. Dont FLUSH unless he dies.

Did another fish eat it? If that's the case then take it from the tank and keep it in a small tank because this behaviour means that fish isn't going to be allowed to live long by its peers. Cruel society, I know. I have an alpha fish that thinks he can decide the fate of the others and so I removed him for a while from their environment and after a month or two put him back and all went to rights again. But if you care for this little fella and it was another fish that did this, get him outta that tank.

Now is the time for me to start a business that makes eyepatches for fish with eyes poked out. Optional accessories will include peg legs for missing fins, pirate hats, scarves, etc.
Your fish will adapt to only having one eye. You should take the fish that ate it's eye out of the tank.

I have a fish that has lost both eyes and He's just fine. That happened over a year ago and he gets along just fine. He finds food and every thing at feeding time. You'd never know he doesn't have eyes tell you really look at him.

IF another fish attacked him, he will be ok IF the other fish is out of the tank. Many fish lose eyes and live to swim another day. IF it is disease, toss the fish. Good luck

He might not die. I've had a fish that lost an eye. It nevers grows back, but if the fish lives, it'll just used to it.

I think he's going to die.
Carefully contain him into a plastic bag or other container full of water from his tank. Put this bag or container in the freezer. This is the most humane way to put him to sleep.
