It sounds like you need a codec. Codec stands for compression decompression. Video files can be very large in size. In order to save space, the files are compressed. When you play the files, they are decompressed. Different media players support different types of video file extensions (e.g. WMV, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, AVI...). If you do not have the correct codec then your media player will be unable to play it. There are a long list of different codecs available. In your case, you have one of two options. Option number 1, you download the correct codec and play it on your current media player. Option number 2, you use a different media player which already has the correct codec to play the movie.
Option #1, you need to download the correct codec. You can download K-lite Codec Pack (17 MB), which contains a bundle of different codecs. The download link is:
http://www.filehippo.com/download_klite_codec_pack/
Option #2, you can download VLC media player, which can play almost any video file or clip. You can download it from:

If you are unfamiliar with codecs and media players then there is a great article from about.com which talks about them.

.
Get DVDFab Decrypter
and "Open" your DVD through this utility.
Make an easy to find folder in Drive C as C/DVD
Then save it giving it a unique name.
Then it will be ready to view or burn, or both.
