Yes, you need to worry the whole time. You can lose a baby at any stage due to listeriosis. Fortunately it's rare and to be honest I think I ate a little soft cheeses, cold cuts and hot dogs in most if not all of my pregnancies but we didn't have all the info and publicity about listeria as we do now. It's a fairly rare disease but I'd still be careful anyway, it'd be pretty horrible to lose a baby from eating some brie or a hotdog.

The link below is from the USDA website so accurate, it states there has been no link proven between breastfeeding and transmission of listeria so once you deliver, those things are fine.

It's not just something that can affect the first trimester. Your baby is developing every single day of your pregnancy. Listeria can cause a problem in that developing. You can't have any of the no items until after baby comes and possibly until you are done breastfeeding.

NO, you CANNOT eat that until after the baby is born or if you are breastfeeding. I know a woman that lost her baby at 8 months gestation due to Listeria.
