I wouldn't recommend white unless the dress also has white on it. However, if you don't want to wear black shoes, colored or metallic shoes are a good option. I often wear dark green or gold metallic shoes with black dresses to punch up the look, and get tons of compliments.

well if u r wearing a black dress and if it has soem sort of white lace or anything like that on it, then white open toed shoes are perfect, but if it isn't then don't wear white shoes.
with black i would personally suggest that u get something shimering(silver) since it is an evening party.

No.....you can not wear white after labor day...which is soon!! Also, do not do that because it clashes unless there is alot of with on the dress. You can wear black shoes with a white dress. But do not wear white shoes with a black dress! Thanks for reading this!

it depends on the style of the dress and the shoes. I think these contrasting colors might look just fine, so innovative (not everyone would understand it though).
Regularly, if your dress and shoes do not match, the shoes and the purse have to match.
I would also agree that black shoes would look sexier.

Ewwwwww...... Honey! thats a definite fashion "No-No"! You must wear black open toe!
P.S. Anything strappy (up the calf) is NOT dressy enough for the look you are going for. Make sure your purse matches the shoes/sandals.

Yes, open toe is ok but see to it that it is NOT open frm back tht is above the heels.If open frm back, it wil give u a casual look, but if CLOSED frm back, it will give u formal look which u shud have for the evening party.CLOSED means WITH A THIN STRAP N NOT FULLY CLOSED N COVERED.Best wud be to wear strappy ones which go till the calves.
