So my mom and i were shopping, my mom doesnt speak english, the cashier was disrescpecting her by talking to other people in line how incovenience my mom to her. giving my mom dirty looks, im half black half asian, so when she saw me coming she said " hi sista" , i was like b_ _ _ _ please whats the deal disrespecting my mother, she got this "omg i got caught ****" , i know for the fact that my mom is quiet and some people will take advantage of her. i report her to the manager so it got taken care of, im only 17 and this lady is about 30 something. it seems rude but i did what i had to. people take advantage of kindness, my mom didnt deserve that kind of treatment.

You were a lot nicer than I would have been! Good for you for sticking up for your mother. People like that cashier have no business working with the public.

I'm just a little confused. Did you get the dirty look? and your mom got the "Hi Sista" greeting? Well, either way, it bugs the crap out of me too. I think an employee that has to work directly with the public must meet certain standards as far as the way they dress and carry themselves. I also think that the company should train these individuals on customer service. It surprises me how many people out there have bad up bringing and no general manners. NO! I do not think you were wrong. We as the general public should not have to tolerate that behavior and I think these people should be put in their place ever now and again to help them pay more attention to how they behave to others.

Well, the only thing that you might want to watch is bad language. I'm a curser--I loooove cussing and I do it a LOT, but in a business situation, usually it just escalates the problem and people get really defensive when they hear curse words. I probably would have cursed, myself, but I'm just saying that if you can stay calm, then you really point out the difference between some rude ***** disrespecting you and how you and your mom were victims. But hey, if ya gotta curse, ya gotta curse.
That cashier was totally out of line and you were right to report her behavior. Nobody deserves to be disrespected for ANY reason, for age, sex, size, race, culture, religion--it's against the law because everybody knows it's wrong, but they do it anyway. People are prejudiced, and that's why they need a law to tell them to do the right thing. Ugh, now you got me mad! I'm really sorry that happened to your mom and I'm glad you stood up for her. She should be really proud of you for that.
The only thing needed for evil to prevail is for good people to do nothing. If everybody just lay down and took whatever sh!t they got, then evil people could do whatever they wanted--you have to stand up when you see something wrong. Good for you! Keep up the good work!

I think you are totally right in defending your mom. You should always speak up. Next time maybe that lady will think twice before she opens her big nasty mouth. I have this lady that I work with that Is whiter then white (not that I'm any different) and these hispanic girls were talking all kinds of sh**, and my friend whips out her garbage can, truck driver dirty mouth and puts these girls in there spots, it was sooo funny!!! She grew up on the border and was raised basically half way in Mexico, people come in all different packages, I never expected her to do what she did, and neither did that lady who disrespected your mom. She'll think twice next time

No you didn't do a thing wrong. Your mother doesn't deserve that type of treatment from anyone.
However, maybe it was time your mother leaned some english. She does live in a primarily english environment after all.
