why are you down?? you have your whole life ahead off you ....don't give in to peer pressure...talk to your parents about anything you want..they will listen to you..take up a sport in school...but most of all enjoy life....help a senior citizen with something....like mowing her grass or offer to help with some house work

I'll help if i can // Just remember at 13 that you are going through a lot of changes , i'm 61 and when i was 13 i liked expermenting but not like the 13 yr olds do today, back then we thought it was abig thing to smoke a cigaret or go skinny dipping , maybe throwing tomatoes at passing cars.. So times have changed but the same pressures exist of what people think of you , what you look like, and you'll start noticeing the opposite sex regardless of what the counselers say.. You are very fragile at this age and you should not worry about any of this because what you mature into can be completely different than what you are now..So my advice is to study and make good grades in school and if it dont seem normal its not normal so dont let other be little you into doing something you dont want to do because you will run into that sometimes/// Above all ask God for WISDOM so you can make the best decison possible in everything you do// There are a lot of vultures out there to take advantage of you and many have the law on their side so just be careful and good luck and may God Bless you with all His care///

You have so much to look forward to....The more you learn now the more powerful you will be in the future I know its a big hill right now but soon it peak and you will be truckin down hill fast and all your dreams will come true. I know you are young but just start thinking about what you want to be when your an adult have some kind of vision no matter what it may be then ask yourself how am I going to get there (like mapping a driving route) this way you will be happy everyday becuase you will know whithin yourself that what you are doing each day is getting you closer to what you want to be or do in the future. I hope this is helpful a little bit.

Here's one:

Everything that happens in high school is not real. The kids that are picked on and get good grades become excellent educated people with decent families and friends. The popular kids tend to stay the same, fizzle out early and end up generally as losers and severe problem cases relying on such nonsense as religion and alcohol to cope with the pain of their sad lives and putting their kids through the same thing so they can grow up to be little puppet-like clones of them all the while they smile masking their inner sorrow.

Don't be cruel. Don't fizzle out. Be yourself. Be strong. You can do great things. You can change the world.

Treat others as you want to be treated. -Confucius

If you keep it real and become a loving person then you have nothing to fear... except the boogie man and George W. Bush... Hmmm well maybe not the Borg man. }:c)

well, for starters most of the boyfriends you have around now - you wont remember, you'll think back and go eww or who was that.
know that these really are the easiest years of your life.
most your age just need to go to school do their homework and a few chores. nothing compared to working full time raising a kid or 2 (or 3+) cleaning the whole house, paying off a house a car paying the bills then trying to find time to spend with your husband....
a lot of boys in their teens are going to try to pressure you to do things you probably dont want to do. Dont! you are your own special person, dint change for anyone and enjoy what you have in you life and remember most of the time your mum knows what she is talking about - she has been there and done that.
cheer up and enjoy you teenage years with no regrets!

Enjoy being a kid while you can.

One day you going to wake up and be in your 20s. Your going to have to get out of bed and hold down a job that you hate but it pays the bills.

Then one day your are going to wake up in your 30's wishing you could be in your 20's again, because now you have a house with a mortgage, kids and a spouse you look at over the dinner table and ask yourself what the hell were you thinking?

Ah! Not to worry one day you are going to wake up in your 40's, not feeling so good anymore, you will have aches and pains in places you never knew you had. Still locked into a job that if you were sure you had nothing left to live for you would single handily strangle everyone of them, not only because they are younger than you, but because they are all in their 20's and still have a good life in front of them.

Then one day you will wake up at 50. You will have an operation that the doctor calls a procedure, it all means the same, your getting old and your body is getting worn out.

In your 60's you and your spouse will wonder around town holding up traffic looking for the ultimate Early Bird Special.

In your 70's you will struggle to make it to the bathroom without changing your Depends again.

In your 80's your going to look back at it all and wish you were a teenager again.

Enjoy being a teenager honey, You have a long road ahead of you.

Now if you will excuse me, I have to go sit across the table from my husband and wonder what the hell was I thinking!

You have certain individual gifts & talents that make you special and unique. Discover and Celebrate them.

Watch what your internal dialogue is telling you. In other words - Dont beat yourself up mentally. Tell yourself posative things and if a negative thought pops up - Stop and Turn it around into something posative.

If you are confident about yourself -others will like you...Why should someone like someone that doesnt like themselves?

Enjoy being YOU. Never try to be like someone else- Your better at being YOU than trying to be a copy of someone else.

Don't be so eager to grow up. Before you know it you wishing you were young again.

Also:
Never get in a car when people have been drinking.
Never accept rides from anyone your parents haven't give you permission for.
Always be aware of your surroundings
Always listen to your instincts. If it does't feel right don't do it.
Never feel obligated to give a reason for saying no to anymore pressuring you to do anything.

Cheer up sweetie. Once you get my age and have to pay all the bills with only one salary and maybe have enough money to buy a pair of shoes. well, that's depressing!

Just have fun and don't take everything so seriously. Be a "happy go lucky" person!

Have fun!
