Glasses are better less responsibility. But if you want contacts you have to prove to your father that you want them, and keep up with your glasses take care of them for a year or maybe a couple of months. Then ask your dad for the contacts and he well probably get you them. If you ever do get contact get Acuvue. They should costs at the most $100 depending type of insurance and if you don't have any insurance, then its like 300 dollars at the most. Buy the disposable they are cheaper and get Acuvue they have a free trial. Do that first.Good Luck!

YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR AN EYE EXAM WHICH IS NOT THE SAME EXAM THEY GIVE YOU FOR GLASSES. SO IF YOU FIND A COUPON FOR EYE EXAM THIS DOES NOT INCLUDE CONTACTS. THE PRICE FOR THE CONTACTS VARY FROM PLACE TO PLACE. ALSO THE TYPE YOU GET HAVE DIFFERENT COSTS. THE BEST SPOT TO GET THEM WOULD BE FROM WAL-MART SAMS CLUB OR COSTCO. ALL YOU NEED IS YOUR PRESCRIPTION AND YOU CAN GET THE LENSES FROM ANYWHERE. WHAT YOU CAN DO IS CALL THE EYE DOCTOR YOU ALREADY HAVE YOUR CURRENT EYE PRESCRIPTION FROM TO SEE IF YOU CAN EVEN WEAR CONTACTS. SOME PEOPLE CAN'T WHERE CONTACTS BECAUSE THEY HAVE A STIGMA. SO THE PEOPLE AT THE PLACE WHERE YOU GOT YOUR GLASSES SHOULD BE ABLE TO TELL YOU IF YOU QUALIFY FOR CONTACTS AND THEY CAN GIVE YOU THE PRICE FOR CONTACT, AND A COPY OF YOUR PRECRIPTION.

It really depends on the kind of contacts, and whether you have an astigmatism. Do some research on acuvue.com or other eye sites.
And if your dad is dead set, just spend a LOT of time finding a really good pair of glasses. I mean, look at every store and find the best frame if you have to have them.

The cost depends on what kind you have to have. I wear Bifocals so they are more expensive. My left eye is off the charts so they have to special order that one and it is 40.00 more above regular costs. All brands of contacts are different amounts. If you do get them, you can shop on line for the cheapest place. Just make sure you don't change the brands with your prescription because they are all different.

Count on about a dollar a day for contacts, whether long-wear or 2-week wear or daily disposables.

i have contacts and i absolutly love them. mine cost around $150 a year....which is really good. but, mine say they are a 2 week dosposal but really, i wear them for months at a time. they just want money. so basically, for me, its $150 for 2 years. which is really good. start saving if your parents wont pay.
