in the opperation for a circumcision are you put to sleep? if not on a scale of 1 to 10 1 being not at all and 10 being very very how painful is it?

Had it done when i was 21, which was a few years ago so might be different now. Had a general plus one night stay in hospital and on a scale of 1 to 10 its about an 8 to start with but as the days pass it gets better of course. You take painkillers which helps of course. Hope this helps

Adult circumcision is not normally necessary, unless you are having severe pain during sexual arousal. Even then, this condition can be corrected by a simple operation that does not involve circumcision.
An adult circumcision is painful, and you will be given either a local or general anaesthetic. Afterwards, you will need to take medication for a week or so to prevent you from having an erection; otherwise you might re-open the wound.
The American Medical Association and the American Society of Paediatrics agree that circumcision is not routinely necessary. After circumcision, an adult male develops a layer of keratin on the head of the penis (glans) that protects it from rubbing against clothing; this also reduces sensitivity. You will notice a difference in sexual response. The foreskin contained thousands of nerve endings that will be removed during the operation, so you will also feel less sensitivity over all.

Why the hell would you cut off your best part?! How sickening, although I am female. It's just that there are not enough oppotunities for women as it is! ;)
From what I have been told by other men, it the worst thing on earth, and some have gone on to try to restore their foreskins.
Please think twice, you are great the way you are, certainly. If there are problems with prudish stupid women, find another. There's plenty like me, I assure you. If it is a medical problem be aware, there's rarely a "needed" circ. See the links, if my fellow intactivist has not already provided them. (and believe me, it warms my heart knowing I am not alone out here)

I would think the majority of the people that would know would have been a day old at the time and I doubt they can tell you much from that time. They numb their little area though but that is it--usually not even any tylenol. My baby though didn't even cry when he was born though which they told me really wasn't good because they liked for them to really open up their lungs and get the air going good--well after they brought him back from being circumcised the air was flowing smooth as could be!!!!

I was circumcised at age twenty for health reasons. I was put to sleep. Woke up in a bed full of blood. They did not check me for bleeding and I nearly bled to death! Was in severe pain for several days and swelling you would not believe. I took six weeks to heal and longer to use it again. If you can get around being cut in any way I advise you to go that route.

lol I have a circumcised penis and I'm not jewish. Actually I did it just for cosmetic purposes >.< Anyways, I would rate the pain a 10 when you wake up lol and about 8-9 the next few days. Yes it does hurt that much, especially when you urinate. But hey, you'll a have sexy penis thats ready to f-uck anytime!

Why would you want to have an unnecessary operation. If it is for medical reason OK but if just because your g/f or wife don't like the way it looks that does not make sense. Don't do it. It is not needed in 99 percent of the time

Local anesthetic used. Pain level 3
If local is used, no firther pain.
Post surgery...very irritating while healing. Painful to move during urination. pain is 3-5.
Good luck. Best to do when born. Too late if you are capable of writing an email as it implies you are older than 0 ;)

Its painful, no you will not get put to sleep ..Plus if you have an 6 inch penis they will cut and inch an a half off because people who are not circumsized have large stinky penises..
Its okay to have 5 inches just work on your foreplay homie...
